INTEL'S ROMLEY PLATFORM is set to launch sometime in the second half of this year and it will bring with it a world of confusion in the Xeon market space as Intel will be offering both LGA-1356 and LGA-2011 solutions to its partners. Texas Instruments (TI) has announced a future smartphone/tablet SoC that could dramatically elevate the processing capability of compact mobile devices.

MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATE 5) Former Armed Forces chief and defense secretary Angelo Tomas Reyes who was under the spotlight after being accused of massive corruption died from a gunshot wound in an apparent suicide Tuesday morning, authorities said.

HONG KONG—Philippine Rep. Ronald Singson Monday pleaded guilty to trafficking drugs into Hong Kong last year after a cocaine binge in Manila was followed by a spur-of-the-moment decision to head to the gambling enclave of Macau.
